Day 97 - Mackenzie's 1st Birthday
Today was Mackenzie's first birthday and boy was Maddie excited to be going to another party. She picked out her dress almost as soon as she woke up and couldn't wait to go. Once we were there she went straight to the balloon's and then quickly onto the trampoline for a good jump. We really do need to look at getting her a trampoline, but we have to get so much done to the yard before that can happen.
Mark brought home some scaffolding this afternoon from his friend at the coast. I can not believe how many pieces there are to it, and how heavy it all is. For the most part I stayed inside with Maddie while it was being unpacked so I was out of the way. I did end up coming outside for a while after I heard a huge crash as one of the pallets loaded with steel pieces came crashing down the truck and onto the driveway nearly taking out Nathan and Mark after it got loose from the winch. Was pretty funny to hear about, but I imagine at the time having a couple of tonnes of metal chasing you down the truck bed would be pretty scary.

Day 96 - Yum
We asked Maddie if she wanted some Ice-Cream today and got a very excited yes answer. She was pretty stoked when she was able to get the lid off herself and thought she would just help herself while I was getting her bowl. Thank goodness for Sorbets and lactose free ice creams that Maddie can eat without getting an upset tummy.
Today was neighbour day, or at least I think it was. The community house a few doors down invited us over for morning tea. It was a nice event to get to know our neighbours better and their yard is awesome, so many colours and some great ideas for things to do to our yard in the future. I just have to convince Nathan that colours are good and can look great in a back yard.

Day 95 - Chores
Entertaining a tired kid is hard, so I thought I would teach her how to wash her dishes after lunch today. She was pretty impressed with the task, and scrubbed all of the items for at least 5 minutes each. Certainly killed a bit of time, but sure did make a mess, we had water everywhere!

Day 94 - Crazy Sleeper
I am seriously wondering why we put a pillow and blankets in the cot for Maddie, clearly she doesnt appear to want them. We are having some serious issues with Maddies sleep at the moment with her refusing to go to sleep for anywhere between 2 & 4 hours of a night, and then waking up and staying awake for about 2 hours at a time. We are all exhausted and it is making the books hard to do. We are going to have to look at finding some way of fixing her sleep issues, we are just too tired to keep going on with no sleep

Day 93 - "It's A Horsey Town"
Driving down to K-Mart tonight we saw a horse and rider crossing the main street from the police station corner. I sure was shocked to see it, as was Maddie, although she was soon exicted and yelled out "Its a horsey town," it was pretty funny.

Day 91 - Shhh
After what seemed like a very long drive we made it to Cooma alive before we stopped for Breakfast/Lunch at about 2pm. We were all packed and ready to go this morning when it was discovered that the boat trailer had a broken bearing. Luckily the service station in Bermagui was open and had a replacement one, so the boys could fix it and they could head back to Ulladulla. The traffic was unbelievable, people are idiots, there is no other word for it that I can think of, that Maddie can read when she looks through these books. People were passing other people who were doing the speed limit on corners, and where there was absolutely no visibility No wonder the road tolls are so high!
This photo is of Maddie telling Nathan to be quiet as she was hiding from me. You have to love the concept that if she cant see me, I clearly can not see her. She was not impressed when she turned around to find me standing there, so she ran off to hide behind a flag pole.
