Day 365 - New Years Eve
We finally headed down to the coast today, after waiting all week for the clinic to open so that they could run my bloods and confirm the pregnancy. While I was in Coles, along with every other person in Ulladulla grabbing us some groceries for today and tomorrow, Amelia called to give me the good news. It was pretty exciting to have the numbers confirm what we already knew, although I would have preferred to have been somewhere I could have written the numbers down.
We went to the little show that they put on down here every year, and managed to get there early enough that Maddie didn't have to wait for anything. We did contemplate going back down for the fireworks but we were all exhausted. Another New Years Eve that I didn't make it until 12, Nathan's phone did wake me though when he started to get messages and phone calls. I must teach him to put it on silent when he is going to fall asleep.

28/12 - Masters Flooring
I suppose it is time for us to start looking at making some serious decisions about the extension seeing as it needs to be finished in about 4 months. The problem is, making decisions like this sucks as if you hate it you are stuck with it. I am loving the prices of this Laminate Flooring that Masters has, and I think that I like the colour, but then I looked at the flooring that's about five times the price and it looks so much nicer. I guess we better not rush these things, we will make a decision in another few months..... maybe.

27/12 - Trip To Bega
Nathan loves to take dirt roads instead of the main ones, but today, he actually had no choice, as this is the road you take to get to Matt and Peta's new block of land in Bemboka. The weather was amazing down there today, so it seems everyone on earth congregated on Merimbula for lunch. I can not believe how crazy it was in town, it took about 40 minutes to get our fish and chips order, and we had to sit in the sun, as there was only the one umbrella'd table for all of the seats. Maddie's sense of direction is awesome these days, Nathan took her to an out of the way bathroom before lunch, and then after lunch she took me back there with no hesitation on the way to go. Hopefully she inherits my sense of direction and not her fathers.

26/12 - Swimming
Another hot day today, so Nathan took Maddie swimming at Mums. Maddie loves the water, and prefers to attempt to swim without any floatation devices so an adult has to be pretty much ready to grab her all the time. Luckily today Nathan was close enough to catch Maddie when she decided to launch herself off the step in the biggest jump she could manage.
On another secret note, today we found out that I am pregnant after 2 years of trying, 1 miscarriage and 4 months of fertility treatment. Hopefully this one sticks and goes smoothly.

25/12 - Christmas
Christmas dinner at Mum and Geoff's today, and it was awesome, although I am sure that I ate way too much. Maddie loved almost all the food and had an awesome time playing Bocce with all of the grown up kids and even convinced Uncle Adam to take her for a swim. I think he is her new favourite person now as he did everything she told him to. The dress Mum knocked together in all her spare time at the last minute was a little short, but Maddie thought it was super special and loved it.
The pink Kitchen that Santa delivered went over pretty well, and Maddie told everyone who asked about it that it was made from her dummies that she sent to Santa. It was an awesome day, made a whole lot more awesome by Maddie's awareness of Christmas this year.

24/12/13 - Christmas Eve
How is it Christmas Eve already? I can not believe how fast the year has gone and how much Maddie has grown this year. Tonight we hung Santa's key, and sprinkled the Reindeer food that the Morgan's sent up for Maddie. Then Nathan and Maddie planted some Candy Cane seeds which magically grew overnight.
Santa left Maddie a Merry Christmas message with the chalk that she left out for him, when he delivered Maddie's present, which shockingly was delivered in flat pack form. What do Santa's elves do all year? Nathan and I spent more than 3 hours assembling the present from Santa so when we finally got to go to bed we were over tired and cranky. I hope Maddie appreciates all the hard work in making the present, I suspect Santa will get all the credit though.

23/12 - Fixed
After this popped up on our washing machine the day before we headed to Sydney for the weekend I was stressed! Thankfully they were able to get someone out to repair the washing machine before Christmas but it cost over $300 and that was just for a new computer to go on the top of it. Oh well, at least it is fixed and I wont be running up to Dad's to wash all the time. Thank you Dad for moving into town and letting us use your machine last week!
